Hello
.
My name is Adam Kanzer and welcome to my office. This is where I tell you all about me as a freelance CD/writer, who is looking for more freelance CD/writer work or maybe even full-time CD/writer-type stuff. I now regale you with tales about why you should hire me and give me money. This is a very convincing paragraph that wins you over and makes you like me enough to give me money. I’ve impressed you so much that now you’re thinking “Man, I should give this guy some money.” Maybe there's more I can say at this point but I think you’ve already decided to give me money so I’m just going to stop talking. Thanks for stopping by.

Awards
I was talking to a recruiter who asked what awards I've won. I told her I won lots and lots of awards, at all the shows. Not just the big ones like Cannes, One Show, D&AD, and ADC, but also some other cool ones like Radio Mercury and Spikes Asia and stuff. She asked why I didn't include that on my site. I said I hate bragging. She suggested then that I find a way to talk about all the awards I've won without it coming off as bragging. I'm still working on it.
Side Hustle-type stuff
I was talking to another recruiter who thought I should showcase what else I do outside of advertising. I asked her if maybe I should add how a few years ago I had sort of a mid-life crisis, and wanted to find out if I had a non-creative side to my brain, so I bought into a boutique fitness franchise called Stretchlab. And while still working full-time in advertising by day, by night I worked on this business and grew it to 7 locations, with over 70 employees and $4 million in annual revenue. But it didn't make a lot of money and was kind of a time-suck, so I sold it and came to the conclusion that I'm a much better writer than a business owner. She said that's totally weird and suggested I maybe leave all that out and just talk about my two cats and my running hobby.
